Dilawar Hussain Foundation (DHF) is a non-government, non-profit organization that strives to improve the quality of health and education. DHF was registered in 2011 under the Societies Registration Act, XXI 1860. Our areas of work include free healthcare services with a focus on diabetes prevention and treatment through specialized medical experts, education for the underprivileged and creating community awareness. Our flagship project is Dilawar Hussain Foundation Diabetes Management Center in Lahore, which offers low-cost, quality healthcare services to over 50,000 deprived patients. Our other project is Dilawar Hussain Foundation Primary School in Lahore, which provides free education to the underprivileged children.
With a child-friendly ambiance aimed to impart learning and healthy development, it’s a robust center of learning with Oxford University Press curriculum, qualified staff, a wide array of extra-curricular activities and talent development methods. Dilawar Hussain Foundation (DHF) is transforming the lives of people and communities. From its humble beginning in 2011, DHF has continued to play the role of a catalyst in mobilizing and empowering the underprivileged communities through its engaging programs. DHF is taking many strides towards assisting the beneficiary communities. Our Healthcare Program serves approximately 50,000 beneficiaries every year offering a wide range of healthcare services, i.e. diagnostic, consultation, referral and treatment to the communities of Gari Shahu in Lahore. Our diabetic center provides state-of-the-art, counseling and management of diabetes patients. A team of 2 diabetologists, nutritionists and a foot care expert guide the diabetic patients on healthy lifestyle. Similarly, the Education Program, offers education services to approximately 150 students providing free tuition and one-time meal.

Hassan is the co-founder of Dilawar Hussain Foundation and has been associated with it since its inception. Prior to that, he was managing a Dispensary for the underprivileged which later converted into Diabetes Medical Centre under the umbrella of the Foundation. He is an entrepreneur and an Executive Board Director involved in various senior managerial and governance positions in CCL Group for over 15 years.
Afshan Mir is a Paediatrician based in Lahore. She is a co-founder of Dilawar Hussain Foundation and currently serves as a board member. Her experience in the non-profit healthcare sector spans over two decades. She is also the General Secretary of AFJOG (Association of Fatima Jinnah Old Graduates)
Amna Sheikh is the co-founder of Dilawar Hussain Foundation and has been a Board Member since its inception. She is also a Family Business Consultant, former Managing Partner of Pakistan Region for RTS Global Partners, a UAE based Family Business advisory firm.
Abbas Raza is working as consultant Diabetologist /Endocrinologist at Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital & Research Center and National Hospital in Lahore, Pakistan.He has many articles to his credit which are published in peer reviewed journals. He has been awarded “Life time Achievement Award” by Pakistan Endocrine Society.
Kamran Shams joined Civil Services of Pakistan in 1991. He held many important positions during his career; he worked in the Federal Secretariat, Establishment Division, and Ministry of Industries and Production. Dr. Kamran Shams is also amongst the founding directors of Akhuwat, an Interest Free Microfinance institution working for the poverty alleviation in Pakistan.
Yasir Altaf is a Social Development Professional and PHD Scholar; He has years of multidisciplinary experience of working with international and national organizations. He has diverse experience of implementing donor funded social projects including: Health Services, Clean Water and Disaster Management.
